About Us

What makes Thompson Smyth unique

We are proud to provide a boutique, tailored service, because every matter and every client is different.

We make house calls – We understand how important it is for our clients to receive our personalised service, particularly for elderly people wishing to make or update their wills, powers of attorney, or advanced care directives. If you are unable to come to our offices we are happy to make a house call. We also offer consultation via Zoom video conferencing.

When principal, Lisa Cameron, was younger she wanted to join the police force, but instead she developed an interest in the law and she loved it.

“I studied hard and was a mum to two young children, but the law fascinated me, and somehow I managed to successfully juggle my home life and University as a mature student.”

Not afraid of a challenge, Lisa worked in her own consulting business and part-time in a local law office whilst studying. She then obtained valuable experience before establishing her own law firm, Thompson Smyth Barristers & Solicitors.

Lisa’s down to earth and practical approach to the law allows her to help clients navigate the sometimes stressful and complex issues they may be faced with at different stages of their lives.

We help you record your wishes when it comes to distribution of assets and the appointment of trusted persons to make important financial and health related decisions for you, as a safeguard for the future.
